  1. The first thing that stood out to me was the "No Children's Policy" at St. Phillips College Writing Center. I actually never pictured any children at a writing center but now that I see it's not allowed here It doesnt make any sense. What if a student needs tutoring but does not have anyone to leave their child with? Do they just bluntly say no? If a child is not distracting anyone, can an exception be made?

  3. St. Phillips College has a weird policy. First of all, who fights in the writing center? This school doesn't even have real rules or guidelines for the tutors to follow. It doesn't even explain what the tutors actually help the tutees with like the other schools. It's just weird. And replying to Annie, why would their be children in the writing center, and i think a student with a child should not come to the writing center because I think a child will be distracting everyone else who are trying to work on their paper.

  4. Is there really a need to discriminate against electronic devices? Things are evolving and so is technology and with these changes I feel that there should be incorporated in the writing centers rules at St. Phillips and amongst the other colleges.

  5. i did not like the Walden UNiversity's Writing center, i believe a one on one conference with the student is the best way to help with the student's paper. if the student was on a short notice , they would have not been able to get the help needed. the St. Phillip's College has some points i would use in my own writing center, for example i would not want to help students on quizzes
